On May 23rd and 24th, AQUA participated virtually in the IX plenary meeting of the Ibero-American System of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (SIACES) held in Oaxaca, Mexico. SIACES brings together quality agencies from countries within the Ibero-American region. 

During the sessions, among other topics, the following were discussed: 

• Interregional collaboration between SIACES and ENQA aims to align agencies best practices from both blocks. 
• Approval of the proposal made by four agencies aimed at incorporating new principles regarding gender equality and equity for validating good practices of agencies in the region.
