The evaluation process of a study program for its renewal unfolds following the steps below:

Request

It is the responsibility of each higher education institution (HEI) to request the renewal of study programs for timely approval. To request renewal, higher education institutions must submit a request to AQUA along with the self-report and updated memorandum of the study plan to be evaluated via email (info@aqua.ad).

The process of monitoring a study program for its approval unfolds following the steps below:  

Application 

It is the responsibility of each higher education institution (HEI) to request the monitoring of study programs so that they can be approved in due time. To request monitoring, HEIs must submit an application and the memory of the study plan to be evaluated to AQUA via email (info@aqua.ad).  

AQUA will respond to the request by proposing deadlines. 

The activities of AQUA are published in the annual activity reports. These are approved by the Steering Committee and submitted to the Legislative Committee for Education, Research, Culture and Sport of the General Council.

The quality policy of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in Andorra is based on the pillars of the agency's mission, vision, and values, aiming to ensure the internal quality assurance of AQUA. Its primary objective is to contribute to sound strategic planning and operational management of the institution. AQUA expresses the following commitments to quality:

The Code of Ethics of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in Andorra (AQUA) defines the values that should guide the actions of AQUA personnel and those who collaborate with it, as well as the commitments that arise from them, to promote ethical behavior and foster best practices in carrying out their duties.

AQUA  developed a strategic plan in 2023 for the three years.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is the collegial governing body of AQUA. It is composed of:

• Mrs Susanna Vela, President of the Legislative Committee on Education, Research, Culture, and Sports of the Andorran Parliament. She acts as the President of the Steering Committee.

AQUA's functions are:
